After walking around the the medieval walls at Dubrovnik it was time to relax at one of the many cafes in the old town.
Just for a change we decided to have a snack of fried green olives (a popular Croatian appetiser).
This is a tasty and easy starter and excellent when combined with a glass of Schnapps!
Ingredients:
• 400 gms pitted olives
• 2 eggs
• flour
• bread crumbs
oil
Method:
Dry the olives and dip them one after another into the flour, eggs and then into the bread crumbs.
Heat the oil and fry the battered olives until they reach a gold-yellowish colour - about 5 minutes.
Description
A tasty and easy starter excellent when served with a side of minted yoghurt.
